The Idea
Participative culinary performance.
The History
A ring composed by high tables invites the public to cook a big pistou soup. The sound and bright device places the "spectators" in the tension of the "rush" (this particular moment of the lunch time, filled with adrenalin where the brigades of the dining room and the kitchen have to serve the customers on a limited period of time). Then after the collective intense work in a boosted atmosphere close to the nightclub and the forges of Vulcain, comes the moment of the tasting. Everything becomes again quiet, the attention is focused on the perception. Moment of sharing of the common work, softened discussions begin. In this performance created by three entities which talk, sound plastics technician, cook and designer, the question of cooking as the surface of exchange and polysensorial space is in the heart of the project.
