The Idea
Create a meal by which the unfolding shows the narrative structure of the tale.
The History
The Designer's Days 2005 on the theme " Tales and Legends ", lets picture, according to an original idea of Laurent Denize d' Estrées,a meal the structure of which is conformed with that of a tale: " Les trois messes basses " of Alphonse Daudet extracted from the " Lettres de mon moulin ".
The meal is punctuated by the melody of the ringing of wineglasses. Between every dish, the headwaiter activates a crank at the end of the table, this one pulls an axis which comes to collide chalices. The menu illustrates the atmospheres of the tale: red mullet filet on ratatouille and grilled eggplant, served in fog / Knuckle of lamb " roasted in wax candles ", mashed potato in the tapenade / Forbidden fruits: peach browned in the almond paste, the sherbet of altar wine and tile in stained glass.
